What is psoriasis?
Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition. Skin cells divide six times faster than usual and build up on the skin's surface causing red, flaky patches called scales. The cause of the disease is unknown but immune dysfunction and chronic inflammation play a decisive role. In two to three percent of the population, psoriasis commonly begins between the ages of 30 and 40 and occurs equally in women and men.
Certain pharmaceutical drugs can provoke the disease. Psoriatic arthritis is a symptom of the chronic inflammation having worsened. Conventional treatment only treats the symptoms and does not offer a cure. As it involves chronic inflammation, the below-mentioned natural anti-inflammatory and immune system-normalizing nutritional supplements are often effective.
