What is Back Pain?
Back pain is a common term for conditions involving pain in the back from the neck to the gluteal region (buttocks). Back pain is one of the most common medical conditions and a major reason for sick leave and early retirement. One of the main reasons for this is that therapists often overlook the fact that this condition is due to inflammation of the muscles and joints of the back in 90 percent of the cases. Patients who develop chronic inflammation and do not heal spontanously often develop back pain or similar conditions, not due to the severity of the cause/trauma, but due to insufficient amounts of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant nutrients in the body.
The fact that most people develop back pain due to a lack of natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant nutrients in addition to essential vitamins and minerals and not due to the severity of a trauma is backed up by the most recent scientific studies (see below).
Which natural ingredients can have an effect on back pain?
Chondroitin sulfate, glucosamine sulfate, ginger root extract, fish oils (EPA/DHA), grape seed extract, green tea extract, quercetin, alpha-lipoic acid, cimicifuga racemosa (black cohosh), vitamins A, B2, B3, B6, C, D3, E and folic acid, selenium, zinc, manganese, boron, copper, magnesium, molybdenum and many more.
What effects do these ingredients have?
- Most effective long-term analgesic (pain relieving) treatment.
- Shorten recovery time.
- Re-establish normal joint and muscle movement/mobility.
- Reduce oedema.
- Enhance the effect of physical treatment (physiotherapy, chiropractic etc).
- Improve quality of life.
- Relax your muscles.
For the reader with a deeper interest:
How do these ingredients work?
- Treat and prevent vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
- Treat the cause (inflammation) not just the symptoms.
- Inhibit cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzymes.
- Inhibit the breakdown of collagenase phospholipase enzymes.
- Inhibit TNF-a and interleukin-1B.
- Inhibit the synthesis of LB4 and prostaglandin E2.
- With joint dislocation, the original position of the joint is re-established.
- With protrusion of discus, original position is re-established.
- Stop reflectory muscle spasms.
- Normalise local blood flow.
- No side effects.
